An easy whiskey cocktail for that one lazy day

I often ask myself, Why don’t most people make cocktails at home? And that answer to the question is never satisfying. Same question put to whiskey drinkers, and then they come up with one standard quote: “I like my whiskey neat”. But is it so? One thing I agree with is that every whiskey comes with its unique character, taste, and profile. Now this is so true. But if we were all so loyal towards our whiskey, why would we see new whiskey launches and brands come up with editions? Yes, I too prefer my whiskey neat, but there are times when an old-fashioned or a whiskey sour would be the perfect choice. And when it comes to that one special moment when you feel the craving to sip a cocktail, here’s an easy whiskey cocktail for a lazy day to make at home.

If making cocktails from whiskey wasn’t tough enough, convincing whiskey drinkers to drink it —OMG. Though both require skill, the latter is the more challenging one to crack. And fortunately, I’ve somehow managed to develop the required skills of persuasion over the years in bartending. Whiskey drinkers are definitely the most picky of the lot when it comes to cocktails. They just won’t budge, but then we have Ranson Carvalho 😉 . Here at Cocktail Monk, we ensure that the cocktail-making process is easy. But for the convincing part? Top-notch skills must be put into action.
